Andrea Olivera

Andrea Olivera has been a Canadian revolutionary figure in the spa industry with dedication and excellence leading the development and incorporation of Ayurveda, Yoga and eastern practices of wellness into the spa industry for the past 30 years. Her career began as a makeup artist and aesthetician to now a being a leading figure as an Ayurveda beauty and wellness care specialist, creator of her own signature line of natural Ayurveda skincare products and botanical perfumes, the Ayurveda Spa Specialist certificate training program, and most recently a published author.  Her lifelong study and practice of the ancient wisdoms of healing continue to inspire her integration of beauty, harmony, and balance in the mind, body and spirit.  She has a dedicated lifetime of innovation, passion and technical expertise through the study of ancient wisdoms of Yoga and Ayurveda, mother earth based systems of healing and modern science and psychology.

Andrea has worked and trained with numerous spas and yoga studios to integrate Ayurveda into their service offerings including Civello Salon/Spas, Aveda Maritime, the Manhattan Club of New York, Sananda Devi Yoga Studio, Downward Dog Yoga Studio, and JivaMukti Yoga Studio. She has appeared alongside Helga Hefner in the Aveda’s International Congress Festival and organized the Toronto Ayurveda Expo. Numerous spa practitioners, aestheticians, yoga teachers and massage therapists have completed her Ayurveda Facial, Indian Head Massage and Abhyanga Body Massage courses from across Canada. She continues to consult and define unique treatments blending East Indian, Persian, Egyptian, and South American traditions. With a nurturing yet greater than life personality, Andrea has an excellent reputation among visiting celebrities having served numerous stars including Daphne Zuniga, Joseph Fiennes, Marcia-Gay- Harden, Maggie Quigley, Duran Duran, Helena Christensen, John Taylor, Tom Selleck, Ted Danson, Steve Guttenberg, Deepa Mehta and others.

Andrea has studied extensively in India was first by Dr. Upadiya of the International Himalayan Hospital in Haridwar India and furthered in Vrindavana, India, Lord Krsna”s birthplace, with Dr. Gupta incorporating  devotional aspects of Ayurveda and yoga e for the community through the Food for Life program feeding thousands of the underprivileged on a daily basis. She completed her Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine at the Canadian School of Eastern Medicine with Dr. Pankaj Seth and the Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant program at the American Institute for Vedic Studies under Dr. David Frawley. Her studies also include training with Dr. Deepak Chopra, Bri. Maya Tiwari, Dr. Robert Svoboda, and Dr. Vasant Lad. She is also avid student and practitioner of Vedic Philosophy, Jyotish Astrology and Shamanic mother earth practices.
